Autumn’s Arrival
Oh, the ache of Autumn’s arrival -
announcing the air of Winter to come,
performing last rites on my solar expansion -
inviting me ‘neath the cult of the Sun.
Hummingbirds, they depart
and my heart, it feels laden
with the ripe and sweet thick
of this Summer’s Yes! maven.
The Call to turn within is standing before me -
the compost is waiting for feed.
So, I begin my descent toward The Season of Sifting
and Saving the most Life-giving seeds.
