Warming

Who is praying for me today?
Because I feel the warmth,
the lifting up
of my soul's bones towards light -

the mercy of little thoughts
directed outward
and the embrace of goodness.

Maybe there is a secret well
my spirit knew how to find
or she has been storing
seeds of kindness for just this day -

because I have felt the widening
in my chest and mind
and life again is worthy.
