The Sacred and The Mundane
There is wisdom to be found
in the ordinary.
A sharp blade,
a dozen pink roses,
the feel of the summer breeze
on my legs.
A present moment awareness
that reaches and touches
Life itself
is the key.
When you don’t run
from the ordinary,
there is joy in the small things
and sometimes healing sorrow.
There is boredom, and grief,
and the unnameable In Betweens.
Come, meet me in the mundane world
full of ordinary things
and make this life an instrument
that of the sacred sings.
in the ordinary.
A sharp blade,
a dozen pink roses,
the feel of the summer breeze
on my legs.
A present moment awareness
that reaches and touches
Life itself
is the key.
When you don’t run
from the ordinary,
there is joy in the small things
and sometimes healing sorrow.
There is boredom, and grief,
and the unnameable In Betweens.
Come, meet me in the mundane world
full of ordinary things
and make this life an instrument
that of the sacred sings.
